Write an introduction about your organization and your Privacy Policy. Show your awareness of keeping personal data private. Describe the goal and the meaning of this document for your members.
Add the description of what information are you going to collect? Why do you need it? Describe how are you going to use it, are you going to share personal information with others and and under what circumstances would you be willing to disclose personal information. Try to use simple and plain language. Special attention should be given to safeguarding the privacy of children especially if you work with them directly.
From GDPR law: “Given that children merit specific protection, any information and communication, where processing is addressed to a child, should be in such a clear and plain language that the child can easily understand.”
You should include information about how are you going to manage consent if members can provide personal data about others, for example while registering guests or adding bundle members.
You should inform your members if you share any personal data with third-party applications, and confirm with any third parties that they are prepared to respond to data requests from your members.

We are the Association of Seventh-day Adventist Librarians, an organization for individuals interested in Seventh-day Adventist librarianship. The association consists of paid members who annually vote into leadership an executive committee that runs the organization. In this policy ‘ASDAL’, ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ means the Association of Seventh-day Adventist Librarians.

You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us such as the ASDAL listserv. If you do not want your email address made available to the SDA mailing lists, then you can indicate your choice by selecting the relevant boxes situated on the membership form. You are free to change your preference anytime by contacting either the Treasurer, treasurer@asdal.org, or the Membership Coordinator, asdalmembershipcoordinator@gmail.com.
We will not use your personal information if you have indicated that you do not wish to be contacted and will retain your details on a suppression list to help ensure that we do not continue to contact you. However, we may still need to contact you for administrative purposes such as when annual membership fees are due.
This website uses profiles to store your membership information. Only you and the website administrator can view and/or edit this information. After logging into this website, you gain access to your profile information using the profile link. Any changes that you make on the website might not be relayed to the ASDAL Treasurer immediately.
