TECHNOLOGY PETTING ZOO Q & A

All ASDAL conference attendees are invited to participate in a Technology Petting Zoo. The Petting Zoo will take place as part of the Opening Reception/Poster Presentations on Sunday, June 19, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Pacific Union College.

  • What is a Technology Petting Zoo? An event which features a variety of electronic gadgets, applications, Web sites, software, games, etc. of interest to librarians and their patrons.
  • Can you give some examples? iPads, iPods, Smartphones, Smartphone applications, Ebook readers, Digital cameras, YouTube library videos, hand-held GPS devices, Virtual library tours, Blogs; Software for podcasting, text-a-librarian, video capture, etc.
  • Who can participate? All ASDAL attendees can participate.
  • How can ASDAL attendees participate? Just bring your stuff to the Petting Zoo table and be willing to share it with the group during the opening reception.
